I hope you enjoy the gallery. I have tried to put the pictures around and about so that if you're interested in buying you can see them without any pressure . 2009 Exhibited by invitation at Horse of the Year Show.

Oils and pencils are my choice of medium.  The pencil work is on fine quality smooth surface heavy weight paper or Bristol board . The paper is Winsor and Newton but imported from the UK. I work in A4 or A2 size at the moment . The oils are on treated canvas and in a range of sizes .

My subject matter includes local horsemen such Steve Houston from Ruapuna, high country musterers from Mesoptamia, top dressage riders from the UK and NZ , Clydesdales from the ploughing championships, the renowned Cotebrook Shire Horses and local event riders and competitors. I have been fortunate enough to have accessed images from Antonia Steeg and Annie Studholm but the majority are my own or clients. I have been lucky enough to have attended courses and recieved help and advice from John Badcock. Even luckier still I have painted with Austen Deans at some ungodly time in the morning somewhere out in the middle of nowhere. I have also attended summer school courses with the fantastic illustrator, David Elliot and caricaturist Dwilys Maggs.
